As the most populous county in New Jersey, Bergen County has a lot to offer. Located in the northeastern corner of New Jersey, Bergen has multiple suburbs and easy access to New York City. Bergen County is one of the largest commercial hubs in the United States. It generates over $6 billion in revenue from retailers. On top of that, it’s also one of the wealthiest counties in the US. As such, you can expect to pay at least $600k if you want to purchase a house in the area. Still, if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth the cost. You get some of the best schools and shops around including Garden State Plaza and Paramus Park.
There’s more to do than just shop in Bergen County, though. It’s also home to 9,000 acres of park land including Meadowlands Environment Center in Lyndhurst and Tenafly Nature Center in Tenafly. You can also enjoy some other cultural institutions including the New Jersey Naval Museum, Aviation Hall of Fame, and Bergen Performing Arts Center.
