Moving to Hunterdon
Located in the western part of New Jersey, Hunterdon County offers residents quaint country living. Despite being the 4th least populous county in New Jersey, it does have the third-highest per capita income in the state. It’s also full to the brim with plenty of activities that will keep you busy. For those who have just moved to the area, there are various tours around the county that will give you a glimpse of Hunterdon’s history. Enjoy a ghost walk tour in Flemington or go on the sister cities food & shop tour in Lambertville.
Hunterdon county is a blend of rustic charm and contemporary enjoyment. You can visit a wide variety of vineyards dotted throughout the region or sample local beer at the various breweries. If you’re more interested in the agricultural aspect of the region, you can enjoy an interactive farm visit or, better yet, enjoy the bounty of the farms at various farmers markets.
There are also plenty of cultural attractions in Hunterdon County. You can check out the Hunterdon Art Museum or Red Mill Museum Village to learn a bit of history of the region. After that, head to Music Mountain Theatre for some local community theater acts. If you want to support more local artists, there are multiple art galleries scattered throughout the county that will display work from local residents.
