Moving to Mercer
Mercer County is home to Trenton, the state capital of New Jersey. As such, it has gained the nickname the Capital County. Despite this, it is not the most populous county in the state. In fact, it is ranked only 12th in terms of population size despite being home to Princeton University.
Mercer County is the perfect place to move to if you’re looking for a county that has that small town Americana feel, a great educational system, and lots of history. As the home to both the state capital and one of the most acclaimed universities in the world, Mercer has a lot to offer. There’s an abundance of cultural experiences to enjoy including festivals, art events, and local community events almost every month. And, of course, plenty of amazing restaurants to try especially in Princeton due to it being a college town.
If you’d like more than just local events and food, Mercer County also offers a plenty of historical sites that were pivotal in American History as well as museums and attractions that highlight the area’s heritage. There are also plenty of beautiful parks and trails where you can enjoy some hiking and even boating!
